Sloane Kolesar

Assistant Lighting Designer & Draftsperson

Sloane Kolesar (he/him) is an assistant lighting designer and draftsperson with The Lighting Design Group (LDG). From 2022 to 2024, he served as an assistant lighting director at CNN after joining LDG immediately following graduation. He currently works as an assistant designer to LDG’s VP of Design, Dennis Size, supporting a wide range of broadcast projects, and regularly contributes to other LDG productions through design, drafting, and programming.

 

He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida with a BFA in Lighting Design. His previous experience includes an apprenticeship with the Santa Fe Opera in 2021 and serving as resident lighting designer at Heartwood Soundstage in Gainesville, Florida.
